  • We are looking for an energetic and experienced Venue Manager responsible for the venue’s overall operations as it goes through its design, creation and launch in a highly demanding industry with no shortage of little people looking for somewhere to play.
  • Lead our Sea Stars team from the steering wheel of the ship, you will be focused on developing your team and delivering the highest quality services in a fun, interactive and high energy environment
  • Be hands-on and ever-leading from the front, showing the team how it’s done and teaching them how to think, always emanating a fun and caring energy
  • Motivate and empower your team to get the very best out of them. We are looking for a strong and demonstrated experience managing people, growing business, managing costs whilst maintaining a collaborative and enjoyable culture for our team and customers alike.
  • Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Work alongside the Managing Director to collaboratively contribute to the creation and recruitment of the Sea Stars team. We believe that YOU need to be a key driver in choosing the team you’re going to work with.
  • Excellent, proactive communication skills with a knack for working collaboratively and leading effectively.
  • Capable of thriving under pressure in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
  • Extensive experience in leading and managing teams, especially with individuals aged 14-24.
  • Dedicated to delivering outstanding customer experiences, with strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • A commercial thinker who actively manages and strives towards key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, customer experience, labor management, COGS and safety.
  • Proficient in following standard operating procedures, while also contributing valuable insights and ideas to continually improve systems.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves to ensure the smooth operation of a complex venue, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and presentation and all equipment safe and well maintained.
  • About you!
  • Demonstrated hospitality and entertainment experience within a constantly changing environment.
  • Qualifications in Hospitality and Business is preferred.
  • Proven management experience with outstanding leadership capability and customer service focus.
  • Passionate and energetic approach with a high tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to act efficiently and resiliently.
  • Drive to create a supportive culture that motivates and develops your team.
  • Proven capability to work productively during busy trading periods, including weekends and school holidays.
  • If you’ve working in a business or a role similar, we want to hear from you! Shift Supervisor, Duty Manager’s, Cafe Manager, Restaurant Manager, Shift Manager, 2IC, anything along these lines would be a great foundation to something like this.
