Positive Behaviour Support Team Leader

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in a leadership and development capacity. This position will involve working with clients as well as developing a team of behaviour support practitioners for our organization. The position will provide mentorship and supervision to the rest of the Behaviour Support team and be a part of the senior leadership team

Key Duties Include

• Undertaking comprehensive functional behaviour assessments.
• Assisiting junior staff with complex client situations
• Developing and implementing support plans that are in line with the goals of each client
• Ensuring that the team are working towards reduction or elimination of restrictive practices.
• Mentoring and supervising the broader behaviour support team.
• Providing expert advice on policies, procedures and services

The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience working within the NDIS framework or with people who live with disability. You experience will include supervisory responsibilities and experience in behaviour support, understanding the NDIS behaviour support capability framework. You will pride yourself on your ability to build and maintain meaningful, lasting relationships with their clients and staff. You will enjoy being a productive and positive leader of our broader allied health team.

Key Requirements:

Registration as a PBS practitioner.

Previous experience working within the Disability sector is highly desirable.
