Job Title: Kitchen Hand

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and flexible Kitchen Hand to join our team in a boutique brand new aged care facility in Sydney, New South Wales. The successful candidate will work alongside the Chef to ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Skills:

– Good communication skills

– Ability to work well under pressure

– Attention to detail

– Basic food preparation knowledge

– Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately

– Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

Responsibilities:

– Assist the Chef with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, making salads, etc.

– Ensure that all ingredients are properly stored and labeled in accordance with food safety regulations.

– Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils after use.

– Assist with stock rotation and inventory management.

-Assist with menu planning as required by chef.

Qualifications:

– No formal qualifications required but completion of a culinary arts program or an internship is preferred.

– Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is an advantage.

Working Hours: Part-time
