Summary:

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are licensed advanced practice registered nurses who work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. They provide a range of healthcare services to patients in various settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapies within their scope of practice.
  • Administer vaccinations and other preventive interventions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives to promote positive outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical research and best practices for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing
