Our Opportunity
Pipe Management Australia is currently seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join our expanding team. This is an amazing opportunity to join a diverse, innovative and fast paced organisation. This role will report to the CEO leading the HSEQ team, based onsite in Ingleburn NSW or in one of our QLD locations. You will be part of a successful team based culture which is supportive and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advice and direction on leading the HSEQ culture across the organisation to ensure our Teams are compliant with relevant Health, Safety and Environment legislation and internal system requirements.
• Identify and contribute to the population of Contract HSEQ prequalification and tender documents as required.
• Lead the risk identification, incident reporting and investigation process across the business and through the HSEQ representatives.
• Lead the waste minimization, pollution prevention and environmental control processes to ensure compliance activities in all areas of HSE.
• Ensure effective promotion of awareness of HSE requirements throughout the organisation.
• Provide advice to management and supervision within the assigned assets or locations on HSE regulatory compliance and applicable industry practices.
• HSEQ reports are maintained and are available to internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Develop and implement HSEQ programs, policies, procedures and processes to ensure that Safety and Environment considerations are front of mind for all Operators.
• Ensure processes needed for the PMA HSEQ management system are established, implemented and maintained.
• Oversee any Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions processes, inclusive of change management and implementation, resulting from Audit findings.
• Lead the Workers Compensation and Return to Work processes to ensure that employees are fit for employment as soon as possible.
• Manage document reviews, updates, and new documentation is stored within the PMA Integrated Management System
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:
• Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or equivalent work experience
• Accreditation as an Auditor (desirable)
• Minimum 5 years work experience within industrial or blue-collar environments
• Knowledge and experience across ISO9001,ISO14001, and ISO45001requirements
• Proven experience writing SWMS in a variety of work environments
• Proven experience organising VOC’s
• Track record of ensuring Return to Work plans are implemented and complied with
• Ability to adapt communication style to meet the requirements of multifaceted teams
• Incident Management experience
• MS Office Suite
• Ability to learn and use database software including Kynection
• Sound negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflict, handle complaints and manage complex situations.
• Ability to think innovatively, identify improvements and challenge and change existing business processes and systems.
• Experience in the interpretation and application of relevant HSE Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
