ABBA Engineering is seeking a dedicated and experienced Boilermaker Supervisor to lead and oversee day-to-day fabrication and welding operations. This role is responsible for ensuring quality workmanship, productivity, and safety standards are met across all boilermaking projects. About the Role
As a Boilermaker supervisor, you will play a key role in supervising and mentoring the team, managing project planning and execution, ensuring quality and safety compliance, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders while overseeing daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate daily activities of boilermakers and apprentices.
• Delegate tasks and ensure timely, high-quality completion of work.
• Lead team meetings to communicate project goals, safety measures, and expectations.
• Enforce company procedures and SOPs, promoting continuous improvement.
• Schedule work and allocate resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Manage attendance, performance, and development of team members.
• Plan and execute fabrication, installation, and maintenance of metal structures.
• Interpret technical drawings and ensure accurate project execution.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources to meet client goals.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Conduct inspections, quality checks, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Promote strong safety culture through audits, risk assessments, and training.
• Provide technical support in welding, fabrication, and problem-solving.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, updating on progress and addressing concerns.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support operational goals.
About you
Required:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in boilermaking, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Trade Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication & Cert IV in Frontline Management
• Current HR Class Australian Drivers Licence
• High Risk LF, EWP License
• Telehandler Licence
• Confined Space Ticket & Working at Heights Ticket
• Proficient in welding (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC), metal fabrication, and reading engineering drawings.
• Appointed Person WHS Statutory Supervisor Qualified
• Intermediate Level – Word, Excel, Outlook
