About the Role

You’ll represent young people in the Youth Justice Court and Supreme Court, working with dedicated senior staff, client service officers, and legal support teams. This role involves:

  • Court advocacy for youth matters (with senior guidance)
  • Providing culturally appropriate legal advice
  • Circuit court travel to remote communities
  • Contributing to law reform and systemic advocacy
  • It’s challenging. It’s rewarding. And it’s where real change happens.

Who We’re Looking For

We want emerging legal professionals who are:

  • Legally qualified (or eligible for NT admission)
  • Keen on criminal law, especially youth justice
  • Culturally aware and sensitive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Strong communicators, both in court and across cultures
  • Organised and adaptable under pressure
  • Willing to travel to remote communities
  • Team players who seek advice and grow through collaboration

You’ll Need:

  • NT Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • Clean criminal history check
