The role:
Your primary role will be to provide psychological assessment and intervention for people injured in a workplace event or motor vehicle accident. You will work with a diverse team with administrative support and offer video or face-to-face sessions. The key day to day duties include assessing the psychological needs of clients and formulating treatment plans and providing evidence based therapy that aims to support clients reach their goals throughout their recovery process.
The key day to day duties include implementing treatment plans through evidence based therapy and engaging with our wider multi-disciplinary team to align treatment progress with the wider needs of the recovery process.
Duties:
• Complete psychological assessment and determine best practice psychological treatment plans.
• Provide targeted psychological intervention either via video consultations or face-to-face appointments.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure recovery needs are tailored to the individual needs of the client.
• Provide person-centred psychotherapy that at all times offers empathy and solution focused engagement to empower recovery from psychological injury.
Requirements:
• Australian recognised degree qualification in Psychology, Counselling or Rehabilitation Counselling
• Proven experience using evidence based psychological interventions such as (but not restricted to) CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, DBT and/or ACT.
• Team player who can share experiences as well and learn from others.
• Ability to manage self within workload, schedules and cases, independently.
• Knowledge and motivation to learn about the compensable injury industry.
