About your new role:

Occupational Therapists play an important role in Mosaic, providing daily practical support to our clients, empowering them to gain independence, reach their unique mobility, and their mental health goals.

You will have the opportunity to shape your career path while making a meaningful impact on the lives of people with disability. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Behaviour Support, Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching, Learn2Adult, and Therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the functional abilities, limitations, and needs of individuals with disabilities
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and support teams to set realistic and client-centered goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to enhance activities of daily living (ADLs) and improve fine and gross motor skills.
  • Recommend and assist in the procurement of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications.
  • Address sensory processing issues and provide interventions to improve sensory integration.
  • Implement cognitive rehabilitation strategies and exercises to improve cognitive functioning.
  • Educate and train clients, families, and support networks on strategies to manage disabilities and promote independence
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, intervention plans, and progress notes.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring access to appropriate services and support.
  • Stay informed about current research and engage in ongoing professional development

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Primary KPI: Achieving 66% billable hours (equivalent to 5 billable hours in a 7.6-hour day). This target is phased in over the first 3 months of employment, with billable hour expectations gradually increased.
  • Secondary KPIs: Meeting Client Journey milestones, achieving client goals, client satisfaction, ensuring NDIS compliance, and maintaining the quality of OT services.

What’s in it for you:

  • Options available for full-time or part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE)
  • Bracket One Salary (+2 years’ experience): $80,000 – $90,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
  • Bracket Two Salary (+4 years’ experience): $90,000 – $100,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
  • Access salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550 per annum to increase your take-home payment
  • Flexible working options to support work-life balance: Work-from-home options available in line with Mosaic procedures, up to 2 days per week for those working 0.8 FTE or more. Full time hours offered over a 9-day fortnight. Part-time hours can be spread across the week subject to caseload.

What we’re looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current and valid AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum of: 2 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy and Disability or related fields for Bracket One salary OR 4 years’ experience in Occupational Therapy and Disability or related fields for Bracket Two salary

Mandatory conditions of Employment:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to apply upon request
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • Proof of working rights
  • WA Driver’s License
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Insured and licensed vehicle
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
