The Opportunity
We are on the lookout for a motivated and forward-thinking Paralegal to join our Brisbane based Insurance Litigation Team. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team in our national head office.
The Role
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Day to day management of insurance files;
- Drafting and amending various court documents;
- Reviewing and compiling evidence for filing (including administrative duties such as indexing and paginating);
- Compiling briefs to counsel and medical experts;
- Liaising with clients and service providers;
- Conducting legal research as required;
- Drafting case-notes as required;
- End of month billing; and
- General administrative duties of the team, such as diary and file management e.g. filing, bring ups, opening and archiving files.
Who are you?
We remain open-minded about the ‘right’ candidate. You could possess:
- Previous experience in a busy litigation paralegal role with a desire to continue your paralegal career journey;
- A high level of attention to detail and a high personal work standard;
- Strong organisation skills, together with the capacity to manage conflicting priorities simultaneously;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Familiarity with iManage and Practice Evolve would be considered advantageous.
