LGC Traffic Management is seeking an experienced and driven Planning Manager to lead our Planning Department based at our Midvale head office. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, compliance, and delivery of high-quality Traffic Management Plans across Western Australia.
As Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the department delivers exceptional service to clients, meets regulatory requirements, and supports the safe and efficient delivery of traffic control services. Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Planning Department, including supervision of Senior Planners and Planners.
- Ensuring all Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) meet legislative, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Acting as the key liaison with clients, gathering feedback, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Conducting site audits to ensure implementation of approved plans and compliance with Main Roads and local authority requirements.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders including the HSEQ team and General Manager to ensure planning excellence.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and streamlining planning processes.
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing planning staff through training, feedback, and performance reviews.
Requirements/Qualifications
- AWTM ticket (essential), RTM accreditation highly desirable.
- Proven experience in traffic management planning, with strong compliance knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams in a planning or project management environment.
- Proficiency in RapidPlan, AutoCAD, or other relevant software.
- Ability to conduct site audits and liaise effectively with clients and regulatory authorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- High attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to quality assurance.
