ABOUT THE ROLE:

LGT is seeking an Education and Care Practitioner for our Oatlands Early Education and Care Service, who has a passion and experience for bringing learning to life for children birth to five years of age.

  • Provide high quality care for children with a focus on ensuring health, safety and wellbeing.
  • Create and implement an educational, developmentally appropriate program based on the approved learning framework
  • Support children to understand nutrition and ensure all children have access to adequate food and water throughout the day
  • Lead and contribute to conversations and reflections about the needs and development of children and use professional knowledge to improve practices
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately, with children of various ages, families and other Educators.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and stimulating environment where all educators and children are protected from hazards and harm

ABOUT YOU:

This is the perfect role for you if you have the following:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Child Education and Care (or working towards)
  • Understanding and knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
  • Strong, respectful, and open communication skills
  • Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Child Related Activity)
  • Police Check
