JOB OBJECTIVE:

As a Senior Account Manager, you will manage an allocated group of accounts, drive strategy and report into your Group Account Director (GAD). You will represent and champion your clients’ interests alongside looking after what is right for the agency.

You will ensure our clients know that you care! That you understand their problem and that KWP&Partners can solve whatever they require. Be the client’s first port of call when an issue or opportunity arises.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Live the agency’s business plan; know the department’s place and the broader agency goals.
  • Know the agency’s offerings, mission and vision.
  • Focus on the performance of the business to ensure it is profitable, the work is effective and clients happy.
  • Accountable for growth and profitability of assigned accounts; attain annual revenue targets and manage through the financial year.
  • Work within a team environment that facilitates mutual respect and partnership across functions, strategic thinking, open lines of communication between team members, on-going performance feedback and adherence to agency policy.
  • Effectively communicate agency briefs to the broader team.
  • Solicit and provide all relevant job information to team members in a timely manner.
  • Successfully manage the processing of project financials.
  • Look for new business opportunities and build personal brand with leadership in marketing and communications area. Utilise agency resources appropriately and efficiently.
  • Attend required training and information sessions.
  • Provide mentoring and training to junior members of the team when required.
  • Keeping abreast of technological developments and their relevance and applications for the agency.
  • Submit accurate timesheets daily.
  • Work on project-based clients as assigned by GAD.
  • Manage the agency-client relationship and ensure the efficient day to day management of your assigned accounts.
  • Accountable for creative solutions that are ‘on brief, on time and on budget’ and created within the parameters of the KWP&Partners standard integrated service model.
  • Accurately scope out project needs and cost appropriately.
  • Be the Brand Champion, leading strategy development for assigned accounts.
  • Develop and deliver compelling client presentations, articulate the problem we are solving, support the creative solution, respond to questions and communicate agency point of view.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with all client levels.
  • Manage communication with clients ensuring they receive responses and updates in a timely manner.
  • Build thorough understanding of clients’ business.
  • Manage research projects on behalf of clients.
  • Manage consumer studies, category and competitive studies for new business initiatives and pitches.
  • Composing meeting notes and work in progress reports on behalf of GAD.
  • Be jointly accountable in achieving client budgets/forecasts.

SKILLS:

  • Tertiary qualification in communications/marketing discipline (or similar discipline with transferrable skills)
  • Previous experience in a marketing or communications agency.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills, including presenting in front of an audience.
  • Demonstrate respect for your team and wider agency, our clients and business partners.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of agency departments and processes.
  • Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build strong and enduring relationships with agency staff and clients.
  • Critical and strategic thinking ability.
  • Active listening skills.

  • Aptitude for thinking both about short-term and long-term requirements, and plan for and work towards achieving both concurrently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

– Minimum 3 years of experience in account management within the advertising

– Proven track record of successfully managing client accounts

– Experience developing strategic marketing plans

– Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics
