Are you an inspiring leader with a proven track record of leading financial operations?
To be considered for this role, ideally you will have experience with the below:
- Manage day to day financial transactional data for the business
- Management of Financial Accountant and Management Accountant
- Management of the Accounting/Financial End of Month process
- Production and management of accurate management and financial reports and analytics in a timely manner to all internal and external business stakeholders – including Weekly, Monthly, Annually, dashboard and Ad hoc requirements, catering for business, contractual, operational and financial analytics
- Oversee and support the weekly payroll process
- Ensure accuracy of all business transactions are accounted for and reconciled
- Management and maintenance of business taxation compliance
- Uphold the principles and standards of the Australian Accounting Standard Board and other jurisdictions
- Assist the Head of Finance in providing the Business with accurate budgets and up to date forecasts
- Assist the Head of Finance with the annual audit process
- Foster continuous improvement of Finance Policies and Procedures
- Provide governance, risk and compliance support to the Head of Finance
Key requirements:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- >5-10yrs experience in finance role
- Strong technical accountings skills, including workknowledge of BAS and PAYG
- Working knowledge of Xero and other Accounting Software is essential
- Ability to work confidentially with sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with team members
- High level analytical and financial reporting skills
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Experience in the transport industry will be highly advantageous
- Thorough understanding of risks and controls within the transport & warehouse industry
- Strong demonstratable analytical skills
- Strong people management skills
