About the Role
As the Service Manager – Support at Home, you will manage the delivery of in-home services to older Tasmanians in our service footprint. This key role is responsible for service planning and delivery, quality and compliance, performance oversight, and workforce development across the Support at Home and Commonwealth Home Support Program streams.
You’ll coordinate a dynamic team of Care Partners, Service Coordinators, and subcontractors while partnering with clinical and allied health professionals to ensure clients receive holistic and integrated support.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage and mentor a team of Care Partners and Service Coordinators delivering in-home support
– Drive service efficiency, quality, and person-centred care planning
– Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and performance oversight
– Ensure compliance with aged care legislation, quality standards, and WHS
– Collaborate with Clinical Care Partners to integrate reablement and health services
– Monitor budgets, funding utilisation, and program performance
– Engage stakeholders and advocate for older people and their families
About You
You’re an experienced leader in community or aged care, confident in managing services, people, and systems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, love leading and empowering teams, and are passionate about ensuring older people receive the care and respect they deserve.
What You’ll Need
✔ 3–5 years’ experience in aged care, health, or community service management
✔ Leadership experience in service coordination or team management
✔ Knowledge of aged care compliance, quality standards, and funding models
✔ Budget management and workforce planning capability
✔ Outstanding stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
✔ Empathy and commitment to older Tasmanians’ wellbeing
Qualifications & Compliance
– Certificate IV, Diploma or Bachelor’s in Aged Care, Health, Nursing, Social Work, or Business
– Satisfactory National Police Check (within 3 months)
– Working with Vulnerable People card
– Open Driver’s Licence
