The Opportunity

On any given day, 60+ vehicles and over 100 people are helping Aussies move the right way with Holloway. We pride ourselves on always going the extra mile, offering a helping hand throughout every stage of the removals and storage process. We believe the key to our success is in our people, and we are looking to add a Container & Yard handler to our thriving team based in Kurnell NSW.

About you

Do you love big boy toys like NEW trucks and container forklifts? Are you someone who describes themselves as an ‘OPERATOR’? Our role requires someone who can wrangle a yard! We don’t necessarily require someone with experience but we are looking for a success driven individual who is willing to learn! This role will be split between our HQ in Wolli Creek and yard in Kurnell. On any given day you might be moving containers, driving trucks, or helping buy new trucks between our Wolli Creek and Kurnell yards.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility of our yard in Kurnell, controlling all container movements and customer access – take responsibility for the cleanliness and operation of the yard.
• Fleet maintenance and coordination of our amazing fleet (prime movers, rigids and container trucks)
• Safely and efficiently operate, clean and wash access equipment and ensure the yard and machines are operating as safely and efficiently as possible.
• Support drivers and warehouse staff with inbound and outbound loading and unloading
• Identify and report any issue with machines and other equipment.
• Work safely within company and statutory Workplace Health & Safety requirements, policies and procedures, including various site safety requirements.
• Other duties as required to foster a team environment.
• 16t forklift operation

Skills required

• HR/MR Licence is an advantage
• Forklift License
• Good verbal skills for team communication
• Proactive and positive personality within a positive and proactive workplace culture
• Willingness to learn, understand and comply with all associated WHS rules and regulations

The successful applicant must have the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment with FULL Australian work rights and clean criminal and driving history.
