We are looking for a Night Manager, someone who is smart and considerate and loves working with numbers. You will be a problem-solving genius that takes pride in creating and delivering great customer experiences. Working with the Finance Team you will ensure that all daily revenue has been captured and reported on together with leading the team to success by rolling up your sleeves and working side by side with them. You will take responsibility for compliance and quality, including the satisfaction of both our guests and staff – ensuring brand and company standards are maintained.

There will be shift working in this role.

What you’ll do

  • Love the brand & be a great ambassador of Holiday Inn Express
  • Being part of and taking the lead when required in hotel emergency procedures, together with assisting in ensuring the hotel complies with local government regulations concerning safety, and any other regulatory requirements.
  • You have a good eye for detail – our processes are super important in helping us deliver a consistent guest experience.
  • You are a self-confessed Excel geek and love working with numbers, as you are responsible for accurately auditing and balancing our hotel’s accounts at night.
  • You will assist with accounts payable and prepare daily revenue reports for our hotel and corporate management team.
  • You will deal with a variety of people, so your communication will be adaptable, a brilliant communicator – consistently clear and concise.
  • You will help us problem solve as we are still building our business; we have solutions to find, and your logical thinking and collaboration with teams across the business will be key.
  • What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience within a similar role or capacity.
  • Accounts payable experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Professional and personable, with a “role up the sleeves”, can do attitude
  • You make calm, collected decisions – even when the clock is ticking
  • You are pre-equipped with sound judgement, even under pressure – you will have a heap of responsibility right off the bat.
  • Excellent written communication & phone skills.
  • You’re required to hold or obtain a Manger and First Aid certificates.
  • You’ll have the rights to life and work in New Zealand.
