Mental Health Support Coordinator – Tamworth & Surrounds

Full-time | Permanent | Entry Level

HealthWISE is looking for a caring and motivated Mental Health Support Coordinator to join our wellbeing team, supporting individuals in Tamworth and surrounding areas.

In this entry-level role, you’ll provide compassionate, non-clinical support to people following a suicide attempt, helping them build resilience, connect with services, and work towards recovery in a safe and supported way.

About the Role:

• Deliver community-based suicide aftercare and support
• Assist in developing Safety and Support Plans for clients
• Work closely with clinicians, GPs, and community services
• Strengthen social and emotional wellbeing
• Provide outreach services with some travel and after-hours work

About You:

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Mental Health (or equivalent)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about supporting people with mental health challenges
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Driver’s licence, Working With Children Check, National Police Check required
• Lived experience of mental health condition, or experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, including suicidal ideation (desirable)
