We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated National ESG Manager to oversee the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives within our company and across our centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and overseeing strategy, governance and reporting to achieve the company’s sustainability goals.

About the role
- Implementation of Haben’s Sustainability and ESG Strategy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, investors, clients, and centre retailers to integrate ESG considerations into business operations
- Monitor key performance indicators related to sustainability efforts and prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate internal teams and manage external consultants to ensure compliance, disclosures and successful project execution
- Oversee frameworks such as NABERS, GRESB, Green Star, and monitor global standards that will impact the business.
- Conduct Modern Slavery assessments, ensure compliance with regulation and continuous improvements
- Engage with investors, clients, staff, retailers and other stakeholders on sustainability initiatives
- Manage annual ESG budget and ensure alignment with sustainability priorities
- Stay updated on emerging ESG trends and regulatory developments to drive continuous improvement
About you
- Proven experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications
- Ideally shopping centre background or building operations understanding of retail energy, water and waste management.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles, best practices and knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards
- Ability to initiate projects, drive ESG-related cultural change, and work effectively with consultants to execute tasks through to completion whilst delivering performance-based outcomes.
- Proven track record of implementing successful ESG programs along with working with senior leadership on strategic initiatives
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data related to sustainability metrics
- Excellent project management, communication and presentation skills
- Intermediate to advanced level in core Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
