Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for payroll and accounts payable? We’re looking for a Payroll & Accounts Payable Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing and AP functions across our Australian and play a supportive role in our UK operations. This is a dynamic role that ensures team members are paid accurately and on time while also keeping our accounts payable processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Australian team members and support our third-party payroll team in the UK.

• Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.

• Handle salary packaging, payroll tax reporting, superannuation, and statutory deductions.

• Respond to payroll and leave-related queries in a timely and professional manner.

Accounts Payable:

• Process all accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently throughout the month.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure timely payments and compliance with internal controls and procedures.

Compliance & Reporting:

• Manage payroll tax reporting and lodgements for Australia.

• Own and manage workers compensation processes and reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5 years of proven experience in payroll processing for Australia (UK payroll experience is a plus).

• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and compliance.

• Experience in accounts payable or broader finance roles.

• High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across teams and respond to employee queries.

• Proficiency with payroll and accounting systems (e.g. Xero, Employment Hero, or similar).

• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
