ORGANISATION

Lifeline Australia is a national suicide prevention charity providing all Australians experiencing emotional distress with access to 24-hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. We are committed to empowering Australians to be suicide-safe through connection, compassion and hope. This is achieved through a partnership of over 10,000 committed volunteers and our member centres across the nation.

Lifeline is looking to progress an exciting transformation initiative to improve the support it provides to particularly vulnerable and frequent callers of its services.

THE ROLE

As the Project Manager this initiative, you will lead the delivery of this design and implementation project over a 12-month fixed term. Reporting to the Program Manager, you’ll coordinate internal teams, member affiliate organisations, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver a high-quality outcome aligned to Lifeline’s mission.

This is a hands-on role suited to a project manager with experience delivering contact centre transformations and continuous improvement in a challenging, values-led environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the Frequent Help Seekers project implementation
  • Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, risks and stakeholder relationships
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical, service design, change management and service delivery teams
  • Coordinate agile meetings and drive delivery through structured governance
  • Ensure alignment with strategic and brand objectives
  • Provide regular status updates, risk reporting, and documentation to governance groups

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience delivering contact centre continuous improvement projects
  • Strong track record managing scope, timelines and vendors
  • Project management certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead cross-functional delivery across design, clinical and service delivery teams.
