Description

Do you want to work with industry leaders who are truly invested in your development?

Are you seeking an opportunity where you can take your expertise to the next level?

Do you thrive on working on large-scale projects across diverse industries?

This could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Our Acoustics team includes some of EMM’s longest standing members, who have seen the team grow from one of EMM’s founding Directors to over 20 consultants nationally. Through authentic leadership, active collaboration, commitment to their and others development and a healthy work life balance, they have been key in creating a stable and successful team environment.

We provide comprehensive acoustical consulting services throughout the entire project life cycle. From masterplan and concept design input to approval documents, design development, commissioning, and ongoing support during project operations, we cover it all. As one of Australia’s leading environmental consultancies, we believe in a sustainable future and are dedicated to helping our clients and the community turn that vision into a reality.

We were honoured to be recognised in the 2025 Beaton Client Choice Awards. Unlike many industry awards, the Client Choice Awards are judged solely on client feedback. That’s what makes this recognition so meaningful:

  • Best Built & Natural Environment Consulting Firm (>$30M revenue)
  • Most Trusted Firm: Built & Natural Environment Consulting
  • Best Provider of ESG Services: Built & Natural Environment Consulting

Here’s what you can expect in your new role with EMM:

  • You’ll have the opportunity to work on one of South Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects, whilst also supporting the team nationally on a variety of projects primarily in our target market areas of infrastructure and construction, mining and energy
  • You’ll provide technical support to control and mitigate noise impacts in urban, suburban and rural environments, working on projects involving noise monitoring and computer modeling.
  • We provide you with all the necessary resources to excel, including access to leading noise modeling packages, a range of hardware for noise monitoring projects, and even in-house software engineering capability.
  • Your expertise and support will contribute to the development and understanding of your fellow consultants both in acoustics and across the wider organisation, inspiring other EMMer’s on their development journey.
  • With a national delivery ethos, you’ll have the chance to support and contribute to large-scale projects across Australia. Your expertise will make a difference from coast to coast.
  • You can count on the support you need to deliver exceptional quality with specialist teams across EMM and leaders who are truly present and excited to help you deliver.
  • We understand that development happens in many ways; whether you learn best through structured development programs, mentoring or on the job with industry leaders, you’ll have the support you need to grow.

Here’s what you’ll bring to have impact:

  • A science or engineering tertiary qualification and driver’s license are essential. Membership with the Australian Acoustical Society would be advantageous.
  • Proven acoustics experience, gained within a consultancy environment, ideally in construction of large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in and/or experience with noise modeling packages such as SoundPlan, CadnaA, and iNoise.
  • Strong project management skills that you can effectively utilise to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in noise monitoring, acoustic testing, noise modeling, developing client relationships, and other related areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently whilst nurturing and growing our client base.
  • Respect – you listen and understand other’s views and work together to create opportunities for all
  • Integrity – you do what is right for your stakeholders to deliver what is true as opposed to popular
  • Humility – you understand the strength of humility and that no one is bigger than the team.

If you’re looking to be part of a team that values innovation and empowers you to make a real impact, EMM could be the place for you.

When you submit your application, look out for our email confirming safe receipt and important information regarding next steps.
