About the Role
This role is a critical member of our team, supporting and delivering GIS services, leveraging geospatial data and tools to support clients across a range of industry sectors. This role will be accountable for providing high quality analysis to solve client challenges.
This role requires the individual to be confident in building and maintaining a positive relationship in order to scope, develop and implement integrated spatial solution to drive project success.

This is a permanent full-time role within our Subiaco based office. We offer all our employees hybrid working arrangements and will also consider part time and requests for flexible working arrangements from suitable applicants.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Geography, environmental Science, Geomatics or in a relevant field or related qualification
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a client facing or consultancy environment would be desirable.
- Demonstrable high proficiency in the ESRI ArcGIS suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS online, ArcMap (soon to be retired)) and experience in QGIS preferable. This will include examples of work previously produced.
- Experience in producing both high quality cartographic outputs, geospatial data visualisation and management and an understanding of fundamental GIS concepts including coordinate systems, data formats and spatial analysis and geodatabase schemas.
- Experience with mobile data collection tools (e.g., ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123)
- Some experience in in coding, scripting and automated workflow development
- Experience in communicating across different technical specialists and with clients internally and externally in a collaborative manner.
- Project experience demonstrating time management, budget awareness and ability to work to deadlines.
- Well-developed written communication skills and the ability to prepare and structure reports and relevant documentation.
- Conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to solve problems
- Full legal working rights within Australia.
Highly desirable skills we would be keen to chat to you about but not essential to the position
- Familiarity with open-source geospatial tools such as PostGIS, Leaflet, OpenLayers, or GeoServer.
- Experience in developing or contributing to web-based geospatial applications, including the use of JavaScript libraries (e.g., Mapbox GL JS, D3.js, or Deck.gl).
- Understanding of web mapping frameworks and APIs, including experience working with RESTful services or integrating spatial APIs (e.g., Google Maps API, Mapbox API).
- Knowledge of cloud-native geospatial environments (e.g., deploying solutions via AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative software development workflows.
- Exposure to data pipelines and spatial ETL tools (e.g., FME, GDAL/OGR, Python scripting for data wrangling).
- Interest in spatial analytics, machine learning or AI-driven geospatial applications.
