We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Qualified Hairdresser to join our small team of experienced stylists.
Sinclair Hair Salon is a specialty salon located within the Sinclair Dermatology clinic in East Melbourne. Specialising in cuts, colours, treatments, wigs and extensions, offering in-depth consultations with an emphasis on improving the scalp and hair health for all clients.
The opportunity:
Located in leafy East Melbourne, with public transport on the doorstep and the MCG in full view from our balcony, it is vibrant place to come to work.
The role involves but not limited to:
- Performing a range of services including cuts, colours, and styling
- Converse with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend suitable styles and treatments, with an emphasis on maintaining the hair integrity
- Apply your theoretical and practical hairdressing knowledge to consult with clinic patients about hair service and treatment plans, post-appointment with their dermatologist.
- Utilise your salon experience to address client phone calls and optimise the appointment schedule of the salon.
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative, and supportive team environment.
- Collaborating with the salon team to deliver exceptional customer service
- Maintain a clean and organised salon
What we’re looking for
- Must be a qualified Hairdresser with experience in a salon environment
- Strong technical skills in hair cutting, colouring and styling, bonus points if you have experience working with extensions and/or hair pieces
- Experience in providing customised product consultations, preferably knowledge of the Kerastase range.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide personalised, tailored advice to clients
- Enthusiasm for gaining a deeper understanding of hair and scalp health
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- A positive, friendly and team-oriented attitude
