Duties

This role is within our Australian and New Zealand team. The role is broad, with customer, supplier and 3 PL providers interaction. There will be a strong interface with the quality, production, customer service, logistics, inventory and sales team to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained to the highest levels.

Responsibilities:

  • First point of quality and technical contact for customer complaints, follow up with the site quality and production team, external suppliers for NCR investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Co-ordinate with other functions of the business (e.g. customer service, logistics, sales, inventory, finance) in the follow-up of customer complaints and other customer requests (e.g. shelf-life extension, compliance documents).
  • Providing Quality, Technical, and regulatory support for both customers and suppliers, this includes but not limited to nutritional information, shelf-life, specifications, etc.
  • Conduct product regulatory compliance to the applicable legislations (e.g. Food Standard Code, federal and state government legislation) in Australian and New Zealand, and oversea markets.
  • Review supplier documentations including certificates and product documents, and ensure all documents are up to date.
  • Backend support to QA dept to ensure team is streamlined with group scope.
  • New customer compliance documentation and fill assessment documentation including technical data, Customer Questionnaires and product.
  • Assist in the audit and certification process within the scope of quality management and food safety management (QMS ISO:9001 and FSSC 22000).
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments.

Experience & Personal Attributes:

  • Strong food technology, food safety and quality background knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the food manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in regulatory affairs preferred
  • Customer focused, energetic and ability to roll up your sleeves
  • Reliable, motivated and committed team player with positive can-do attitude
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Accuracy and high attention to detail
  • Sound organisational and time management skills including the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment

  • A proficiency in MS office

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Food technology, Science, Microbiology or related industry.
  • Experience with HACCP, ISO, and or other GFSI-recognized certifications.
  • Sound knowledge of root cause analysis
  • Experience and knowledge of applicable food legislations within Australia and New Zealand, including food standard code legislation under regulated by FSANZ.
  • Experience and Knowledge of TGA requirements and approval
  • Experience in communicating with customer and suppliers
  • Experience in a QC / QA role in food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP will be preferred.
