We are thrilled to announce the opening of Coolum Radiology, a state-of-the-art radiology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic services to the community.
Leveraging on the loyal referrer base from Noosa Radiology, Cooroy Radiology and Gympie Radiology, we are committed to providing exceptional imaging services and patient-centred care to the Coolum and surrounds community. We are assembling a team of passionate professionals committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
We provide a comprehensive range of imaging and procedural services including MRI, CT, ultrasound, BMD, dental imaging, and general x-ray. All equipment will be new, state of the art supported by innovative AI solutions.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Referral Liaison/Medical Receptionist to join our team. You will serve as a key contact between the business and referring providers. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and growing relationships with physicians, clinics, and healthcare professionals who refer patients to our services. The ideal candidate will be personable, with strong communication skills and a passion for fostering collaboration across the healthcare community.
When not involved in these duties you will be responsible for providing efficient and professional face-to-face and telephone reception services at the front desk.
As the first point of contact for patients, you are required to deliver friendly, professional and caring services to patients, referrers, and all other customers and stakeholders.
This is a multi-tasking, fast paced team player role, committed to providing knowledgeable and professional support for the best possible outcomes for our patients.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential referring providers.
- Identify new referral sources and generate leads to increase patient referrals.
- Conduct regular outreach visits, calls, and meetings with healthcare providers and their teams.
- Communicate updates about services, physicians, and organisational changes.
- Collect and analyse referral data to track trends and opportunities.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure a seamless referral experience.
- Reception and general administration duties
- Welcoming our patients and managing relevant paperwork
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments
- Following up medical information with referrers, e.g. GP’s, specialists and third parties
- Working alongside our great team of radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and administration team
- Invoicing patient visits and receipting payments
About you
- Experience working in a similar environment such as a health service or radiology is highly regarded but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of Customer/Patient Service
- Strong customer service skills
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer skills
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn
- You are able to work flexible hours, between 7am – 6pm Monday to Friday
