Join Consumer Credit Legal Service (WA) Inc. (CCLS) in a dynamic role that drives systemic change for Western Australians. We’re seeking two Policy and Advocacy Officers to coordinate two key state-based advocacy networks—WACAN and EARGWA—focused on consumer rights and the economic impacts of family and domestic violence.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful law reform, collaborate with community, government, and industry stakeholders, and influence policy that supports fairer outcomes. You’ll coordinate network engagement, lead research and submissions, and amplify the voices of lived experience.

We’re seeking two individuals with strong political awareness, effective advocacy skills, and experience in stakeholder engagement. You’ll have a solid understanding of systemic social issues, policy development, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate and grow targeted stakeholder networks
  • Facilitate collective advocacy and policy responses
  • Prepare submissions, briefs, and communication materials
  • Lead collaborative projects aligned with state and national priorities
  • Support advocacy efforts that reflect the experiences of those impacted
  • What you’ll bring:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in advocacy, policy, or community development
  • Knowledge of the political and legal environment in WA
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships across sectors
  • Desirable: experience in community legal or advocacy organisations, and group facilitation.

At CCLS, we’re committed to social justice, equity, and empowering people through their financial and consumer rights. Be part of a team making a real difference.

Apply now to help shape a fairer WA – where consumer rights are protected and the economic impacts of family and domestic violence are addressed.
