Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Structural Senior Project Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and execution of complex construction projects. In this role, you will drive structural integrity, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality structures. With a strong technical foundation and a proactive problem-solving mindset, you will play a key role in optimizing designs, mitigating risks, and ensuring project success from conception to completion.

Key Deliverables

Project Management & Site Execution

Lead structural design, procurement, and installation, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards. Develop and approve structural packages aligned with project specifications. Conduct site assessments to verify structural integrity and suitability. Optimize construction methods through advanced structural analysis.

Prepare and review technical drawings for accuracy and compliance. Evaluate materials and structures for load capacity, durability, and environmental resilience. Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to structural requirements. Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement while optimizing financial efficiency. Approve structural design changes to address site-specific challenges.

Quality Control & Compliance

Ensure structural installations meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Champion innovation by integrating advanced technologies and methodologies. Lead quality assurance efforts, providing training and oversight to uphold construction excellence. Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative safety measures. Optimize resource allocation, managing project timelines effectively.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with project managers, architects, and teams to ensure seamless structural integration. Oversee subcontractors, ensuring work meets project goals and quality standards. Lead technical discussions, providing expert guidance to teams, contractors, and clients.

Key Requirements

Education: Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Engineers Australia accredited if acquired overseas).

Experience: 10+ years in structural design, analysis, and execution for large-scale projects, 5 of which within Australia.

Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, BIM, and project management software (e.g., Procore).

Certifications (Preferred): PMP certification is an advantage.

Registration: Eligible for State structural engineering registers (e.g., RPEQ).
