Job Description: Health & Safety Consultant

Join Our Leading Risk Management Team!

Our client, a prominent name in insurance and risk management, is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Consultant to enhance their Risk Management function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement: Develop and agree on a “scope of work” with each client, specifying tasks and timelines for completion.

• Documentation: Produce risk assessments, safe systems of work, method statements, and policies.

• Site Audits: Conduct thorough site audits and inspections.

• Incident Analysis: Investigate accidents, analyse trends, and prepare reports, including support for legal defences if necessary.

• Business Development: Aid in securing new clients and retaining existing health & safety business.

• System Integration: Operate and integrate our online Health and Safety Management System for clients.

• Strategy Development: Devise and deliver Risk Management strategies for assigned clients and support colleagues with their clients.

• Training: Provide training to colleagues and clients, as coordinated with the Training Manager.

• Technical Support: Offer technical support to colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Representation: Act on behalf of the company and clients when dealing with enforcing authorities and insurance companies.

• Specialised Assessments: Conduct noise assessments, hand-arm vibration assessments, and safe air testing (training provided).

Experience & Qualifications:

• Essential: Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).

• Desirable: Candidates without the relevant qualifications must be willing to work towards them.

Travel Requirements: This role may require travel and occasional overnight stays.
