The Role

Looking to put the knowledge you have learnt through study into practice? Black Cat Civil are looking to expand their Human Resources Team based out of HQ on the Sunshine Coast. Working with a collaborative team, you will work towards gaining generalist human resource experience within the mining and construction industries across multiple states and territories throughout Australia.

This role will directly support the Human Resources Coordinator whilst making your mark within the team. Our HR team is afforded the opportunity to travel to regional and remote locations across Australia to gain site exposure and direct contact with our site teams.

Key duties of the role include:

• Assist with blue-collar recruitment for all divisions of the business.

• Assist with the development of traditional job advertisements along with social media platform content.

• Work with the Site Administration teams to ensure new recruits are booked into site-specific onboarding medicals or training.

• Industry stakeholder development

• Develop a broad understanding of National employment standards, enterprise agreements and relevant awards

• Support the maintenance of the HRMS for the business.

• HR administrative functions

• Assist with the onboarding experience for all BCC employees

• Culture development within the business

Desired skills & experience

This opportunity is ideal for any motivated individual, looking to grow with a company.

• Degree qualification in a Human Resources field

• Experience with Microsoft suite

• Ability to work unsupervised.

• Undergraduate HR exposure with a civil or mining contractor highly desirable
