  • Australian Mentoring Services (AMS) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time opportunity to play a vital role in supporting our financial operations and payroll processes within a values-driven NDIS organisation.

    About the Role:

    As the Finance Officer, you will work as a key member of the Finance team, providing support with payroll processing, accounts management, financial reporting, and general administrative duties. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payroll and financial functions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Payroll:

    • Process employee data, timesheets, and allowances with accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Collaborate with Regional Managers and Practice Leaders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
    • Maintain payroll records and respond to queries via the payroll inbox.
    • Identify and rectify payroll discrepancies.

    Accounts & Administration:

    • Process supplier invoices and ensure correct financial coding.
    • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and confidentiality protocols.
    • Provide admin support and assist with reporting tasks across the finance team.

    General:

    • Act as backup for other finance roles as needed.
    • Support system upgrades, team meetings, and ongoing training.
    • Produce ad hoc and routine financial reports.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll and accounts within Australia.
    • Proven experience with Employment Hero and Deputy.
    • Knowledge of Australian Payroll Legislation, SCHADS Award, and NDIS finance practices.
    • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
    • Strong communication and organisational skills.
