Hours: 7am-4pm approximately
Boss Global Logistics is a growing freight forwarding and warehousing company operating throughout Queensland’s metropolitan and regional areas. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Distribution Manager to join and lead our team in Gladstone to continue the steady growth. We are after someone from within our industry that is willing to hit the ground running!
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the operations including the co-ordination of transport, fleet allocation, attending to queries, maintaining relationships with existing clients, general office duties, general warehousing and forklift duties, manual handling, dealing directly with customers, and completion of relevant paperwork.
Your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities include:
• Freight management of small parcels and bulk – approximately 1,000+ consignments per day
• Handling escalated customer enquiries
• Staff inductions
• Supervising and responsibility for approximately 10 staff within the depot
• Coordinating optimal vehicle run structure.
• Toolbox meetings and training
• Staff rosters
• Equipment management
• Manual billing
• Brand recognition/ development
• Management reporting
• Compliance
We need you to:
• Be reliable, committed with an ambitious persona and a drive to grow within our business.
• Awareness and understanding of Safety & Road Transport legislation pertaining to warehousing, load restraint and vehicle safety and road safety.
• Lead by example with all aspects of transport operations and driver management
• Be a team leader who will achieve results and drive positive morale of workers.
• Have knowledge of the freight industry
• Adhere to WHS legislations and company policies.
• Be Proficient in all Microsoft programs.
• Be a Self-motivated individual with an outgoing and confident personality.
• Possess Strong communication skills.
• Liaise with various internal departments and external clients.
• Have a Positive, can-do attitude.
• Hold a current open driver’s license.
• Hold a current Forklift Ticket
• Have good written and verbal communication skills.

This position will see you working weekdays from approximately 7am – 4pm each day and will commence immediately for the right candidate.
