Passive Fire Technician – Brisbane Qld Australia

A1 Passive Fire are experts in the passive fire protection industry, providing comprehensive and cost-effective solutions to a wide range of fire rating needs in South East Queensland.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our passive fire team to work with all aspects of passive fire rating, fire sealing and penetrations including fire dampers and fire doors.

Due to significant growth within our company we are looking at expanding our team of passive fire technicians and require a responsible new team member to work across a variety of sites in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the construction industry with current QBCC Passive Fire Licence or trade Qualification an advantage.

Key duties for this role include:

Install fire rated material in new and existing construction

Repair of disturbed fire rated material

Installation of fire sealing products to service penetrations

Installation of fire collars

Applying fire rated mastic

Installation of fire rated enclosures

Auditing of fire penetrations, fire doors and fire dampers

The successful applicant will possess the following:

Reliability

Willingness to further their passive fire knowledge

Trade experience or experience on construction sites

Good written and verbal communication skills

Be able to adhere to Workplace Health & Safety requirements

Have the ability to work autonomously

Be able to follow detailed instructions

Hold a current drivers licence

Hold a working in construction card
