Tonkin is now seeking suitably experienced candidates to join our Water team and apply their skills in the design and detailing of all aspects of our infrastructure projects for water utilities.
You will be joining a close-knit team that prides itself on professional, technical and collaborative excellence, while supporting Tonkin’s multidisciplinary approach that ensures our clients receive the best solutions. Joining our team, as an experienced Designer, you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists who collectively development of infrastructure design solutions relating to Water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
About our Senior Water Engineer role
Joining our Water team, as an experienced Senior Water Engineer, you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists.
Together with your exemplary teamwork, stakeholder management, written and verbal communication skills; to be successful in this role you will ideally possess some or all of the following:
- Experience working in the Australian market, preferably 7+ years..
- Degree qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or associated field
- Strong working knowledge of current statutory requirements, engineering and contract standards applicable in South Australia.
- Chartered Engineering Status (CPEng) or willingness to obtain it.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and lead a range of engineering professionals in a team environment with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to successfully build and maintain positive internal relationships.
- Ability to develop external client relationships and key stakeholders and industry networks that may contribute to business growth.
- Demonstrated experience in applying industry standards, e.g. SA Water standards, WSA etc.
- Demonstrated experience in applying Quality Assurance, Risk Management, Safety in Design, HAZOP, design review processes for our projects.
- Experience in Water Supply and Sewerage design, including pipelines & pump stations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a strong focus on the production of quality outputs
