Summary

Wormall Civil are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Civil construction company. The Civil Engineer works as part of the construction and project management teams who execute the project management and supervision of Wormall Group civil services, bulk earthworks, water, gas, sewer, drainage, road construction and new large subdivision/land development projects.

The Role

• Design, plan, organise and oversee earthworks, gas, water supply, sewerage infrastructure and other civil services engineering requirements;

• Analyse soil and rock behaviour when placed under structural pressure;

• Analysing the statical properties of all types of structures and materials used in their construction;

• Estimate and monitor the construction costs of projects;

• Assessment of project costs, measuring, valuing and negotiating variations;

• Contract management, quality assurance, quality control;

• Tender, costing, budget preparation;

• Procurement and schedule of quantities documentation;

• Ensuring the quality and monitoring delivery timeframes tracking against project programme;

• Maintain schedule of quantities and specifications;

• Conduct inspections to ensure specifications are executed in accordance to project programme;

• Maintain detailed works schedules and documentation;

• Drafting & interpreting specifications, drawings, plans and construction procedures;

• Determine construction methods, materials and quality standards;

• The supervision, inspection and project management of large civil projects;

• Ensuring WHSEQ compliance at all times.

About You

• Experienced in determining construction methods, materials and quality standards;

• Experienced in the supervision, inspection and project management of large civil projects;

• Experienced in drafting & interpreting specifications, drawings, plans and construction procedures;

• Experienced in the assessment of project costs, measuring, valuing and negotiating variations;

• Experienced in contract management, quality assurance, quality control;

• Experienced in the design of underground water, gas, sewer and drainage infrastructure;

• Experienced in tender, costing, budget preparation;

• Experienced in the procurement and schedule of quantities documentation;

• Tertiary qualification / Bachelor degree in Civil / Construction /Water Engineering;

• 5+ years experience as Civil Engineer working on civil large subdivision/land development projects;

• Construction Card

• Australian Drivers Licence
