The Opportunity: Restaurant General Manager

As Restaurant General Manager, you’ll serve as the steward of our restaurant’s vision—bringing our mission to life through leadership that is intentional, inspired, and in tune with both people and planet. You’ll lead daily operations with a hands-on, heart-led approach, empowering your team to create memorable, meaningful guest experiences while ensuring operational and financial excellence.

You’ll be the guide who nurtures a culture of care, champions sustainable practices, and drives forward a hospitality experience where every detail is an extension of nature’s design.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and energise day-to-day restaurant operations, jumping in where needed to inspire productivity, teamwork, and service excellence.
  • Bring our Good-Natured Service philosophy to life through warm, thoughtful leadership and a commitment to authentic connection.
  • Be present during key service periods, setting the tone for the guest experience and supporting your team during high-volume moments.
  • Lead by example in handling guest feedback—resolving issues with empathy and turning challenges into loyalty.
  • Foster talent through coaching, career development, and consistent feedback, cultivating a space where people grow and thrive.
  • Manage departmental performance, including revenue targets, labor, purchasing, and operational expenses.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Leadership to evolve our storytelling and outreach strategies, ensuring alignment with our sustainable ethos.
  • Cultivate cross-departmental communication so that everyone—from concierge to culinary—feels connected to the guest journey.
  • Identify and onboard passionate team members who reflect our values and elevate the dining experience.
  • Champion continuous learning and operational excellence by using data, insights, and mentoring to drive improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all brand standards, safety guidelines, and financial procedures.
  • Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams to keep the restaurant experience seamless and guest-ready.
  • Be a trusted voice for the guest—ensuring their experience is always personal, polished, and in harmony with our mission.
  • About you

  • 4+ years in a senior hospitality leadership role, ideally within a luxury or sustainability-driven environment
  • Passion for the restaurant industry and a deep appreciation for sustainable practices and culinary storytelling
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to inspire and connect with people
  • Resilient, organized, and calm under pressure—with a talent for managing shifting priorities
  • Proven leadership capabilities—someone who leads with heart, accountability, and purpose
  • A sharp business mind with experience in budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and P&L management
  • Flexible schedule and a willingness to embrace the dynamic rhythm of a 7-day operation
