Through Joii, pet mums and dads can video call a vet 24/7, use an intelligent pet symptom checker (think NHS 111 but for pets), or seek preventative care through nurse clinics. And yes – it can all be done from the comfort of home – drastically reducing the need for in-person vet trips.

So what’s next?
We’ve launched our first Digitally Led vet clinic in St Albans. Designed with pets and vets in mind, this general practice integrates with our telemed platform to provide 360-degree digitally led pet health care. And now we’re looking for more nurses to work there!
The role will involve all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and you will be provided with additional in-house training to help develop your skills in our digital led world. As a Digital First RVN, you will be expected to perform all nursing duties with confidence and competence. You will have excellent communication skills alongside a high level of attention to detail, creating an experience for the client that is second to none.
This role is practice-based, but will also include supporting our remote team to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the day to day running of the practice, from reception to consultation to surgery & inpatient care
- Admits & discharges
- Daily running of the kennel area, laboratory &diagnostic procedure delivery as well as preparing patients for procedures and assisting in the operating theatre
- Working alongside the clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care
- Practice administration, including the completion of insurance claims forms and updating clinical records accurately.
- Monitoring anaesthesia during procedures and assisting the vet where required both in surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Leading Nurse clinics
- Attend practice meetings and training sessions with both the practice team and the wider company
- Responsible for ensuring that the practice is always clean and tidy which may include some general cleaning
- Liaise with customers and clients daily politely and patiently, and effectively resolve customer complaints or queries
- Work together with internal colleagues and departments to create a successful team environment
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified RVN with a minimum of 5 years of practical qualified experience within general practice
- Confident in all aspects of the general practice RVN role
- Able to work autonomously when needed. but also excellent in a team environment
- Good knowledge base, confident in providing advice to pet owners
- Excellent communication skills with a calming, reassuring, and sympathetic demeanor
- SQP Qualification Preferred but not essential
- Active RCVS Registration
- Clear understanding and competence in using IT platforms
