Seasonal Kitchen Assistant

We’re looking for a Seasonal Kitchen Assistant to join our busy Hattie’s restaurant team at Bingley Garden Centre during our festive season.

As our restaurant welcomes more customers enjoying their Christmas shopping and seasonal treats, you’ll play an important part in helping us deliver a GREAT experience.

This is a varied role that will primarily involve kitchen porter duties, including pot washing and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen. You’ll also support the wider restaurant team by assisting with the preparation of sandwiches and salads, and helping front of house when required. No two days are the same, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys variety and is happy to lend a hand wherever needed.

This is a seasonal contract, starting on 9th November 2026 and ending on 24th December 2026.

Working hours: Monday to Friday | 11:30am-3:00pm.

What you’ll be doing

• Washing dishes, utensils, pots and kitchen equipment
• Keeping kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, safe and organised
• Assisting with the preparation of sandwiches, salads and other simple food items
• Supporting the café team by running food and clearing tables when required
• Helping front of house during busy periods
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Supporting colleagues across the café operation as needed
