Support Worker

Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. This position is relevant in all industries and requires a commitment to helping others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional and physical support to individuals in need
• Assist with daily living activities
• Help individuals with meal preparation and feeding
• Administer medication safely according to care plans and organisational policies.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and activities
• Maintain accurate records of services provided
• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
• Monitor and report any changes in an individual’s condition
• Provide a safe and comfortable environment for individuals

Qualifications:

• Relevant vocational qualification in health and social care, or willingness to complete the Care Certificate.
• Previous experience in a care or support role, or a willingness to undertake relevant training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated patience and emotional resilience when managing complex care needs.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism
• Basic computer skills
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and health and safety requirements in a care setting.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
