Senior Carer

Graceful hands care Ltd is looking for a passionate and committed individuals to join the team as the Senior Carer!

This role requires a team member to assist in leading the team and set high standards with a professional approach.

Purpose

The Senior carer would routinely oversee and monitor care workers, care assistants and home carers through Supervision and Spot Checks.

They plan weekly rostering and care management of service users

They also attend to the personal needs and comforts of the elderly and the frail with care and support needs (service users).

They engage with other health and social care professionals regarding the Service user.

They check the competency of Carers and ensure Service user is happy with care.

They cover emergency care for carers cancelling or calling in sick.

They undertake risk assessments an review

Tasks

• To support clients with care in the community

• To support and assist office staff in rostering and monitoring staff.

• To carry out client reviews both by telephone and in the field

• To carry out staff routine spot checks

• To carry out Risk assessments for new referrals and to update assessments when required

• To Assist the manager in collecting from and delivering paper work to Service users homes

• To work to establish effective relationships between service user and the company

• Ensure that staff and client files are updated

• To ensure audits are carried out and documented

• To systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise

• To support the updating and evaluating of care plans and ensure they are personalized

• To support & mentor care workers in the community

• To support an open, positive and inclusive management culture

• To meet with social workers to carry out service user reviews

• To support with budgeting and account keeping
