The role

Enjoy being out on the road, meeting people and keeping things moving? As a Delivery Driver, you’ll be the friendly face of Aberdeen Laundry Services – collecting and delivering linen, towels and workwear to our customers safely and on time. From time to time, you’ll also support our laundry team, so no two days are the same.

Hours and flexibility

We’re a seasonal business, so workload and shift patterns vary throughout the year. During our busy summer season, you’ll need to be available to work at least 5 to 6 days per week. During quieter periods, we guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week, so you can count on consistent work all year round.

Key responsibilities

• Collecting and delivering linen, towels and workwear to customers in a timely and polite manner
• Carrying out daily/weekly vehicle checks and recording any faults or damage
• Keeping your van clean, tidy, fuelled and secure at the end of each shift
• Following our driver’s policy for safe loading and unloading
• Completing your daily run sheet (start/finish times and mileage) and recording bags dropped off
• Making sure all bags and customer dockets are clearly marked and delivered to the right factory
• Using our mobile app to manage additional collections and deliveries
• Supporting our laundry team when needed – sorting, washing, drying, ironing and packing

What we’re looking for

• A full, valid UK driving licence
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with changing shift patterns
• Attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork
• Physical stamina to lift and carry bags of linen
• Comfortable using a smartphone and app
• A team player who can also work independently
