PLI (Powerlift Industries) is a Karratha, Pilbara based leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries and an expanding business.
THE OPPORTUNITY
PLI are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join the team at the Rio Tinto 6 Mile Workshop commencing on 11th June 2025 working an 8/6 roster (day shift only).
This role will require the successful applicant to be a local resident to Karratha or Dampier.
Daily jobs include but not limited to:
- Conduct detailed inspections on a range of equipment
- Preventative and corrective maintenance
- Breakdown repairs and performing crack testing
- Adherence to a scheduled plan of work
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
- Quality assurance activities & reporting
ABOUT YOU
- Trade qualification (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Must be able and willing to perform work that is repetitive in nature
- Must be a strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ensure that the highest Safety Standards are met for the yard and its employees
- Focused on maintaining a clean and safe working environment as well as continuous improvement and conducting all work in accordance with quality and ISO standards
- Safety and process-focused, and willing to input and continually improve the process
REQUIREMENTS
- Proof of right to work in Australia (mandatory
- Australian recognised Trade qualification (mandatory)
- Rio Tinto Inducted (highly desirable)
- M1 (highly desirable)
- Current and valid Australian (C class) drivers licence (mandatory)
- WAH (desirable)
- White Card (mandatory)
- Excellent attitude to safety
- Flexible attitude to work within all our crews and to assist with other duties outside your scope
- Successful applicant is required to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug and alcohol screening test.
