We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our high performing team, working across the Melbourne Metropolitan region and based out of our Little River workshop.
The role
The successful Diesel Mechanic will assist in servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile plant equipment including fault finding and diagnostics to help prevent break downs or unexpected down time of machinery.
• Be prepared to work flexible hours at multiple locations.
• Safe working with heavy components and materials.
• Conduct work in the workshop or out on the field as required.
• Correct use of tooling as per manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain consistency on repetitive works.
• Planning and prepare for projects by using materials and resources for tasks.
• Complete component change outs.
• Trouble shoot and diagnose faults.
• Read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics and ability to source information electronically through the Workshop Documents folder.
Working hours vary, minimum working hours are Monday – Friday 6.30am – 5.30am with overtime regularly available. More information on our terms and conditions of employment can be found in our Enterprise Agreement (EBA) Mansfield Crushing Enterprise Agreement 2023.
About you
The successful candidate will have a mechanical trade qualification, manual drivers license (HR preferred), along with min 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic. You will demonstrate high ethical standards, work attitude and aptitude for working under pressure. Delivering first class service and support to clients comes naturally to you, as well as excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be part of a high performing team that communicates across all levels and stakeholders with respect and accountability.
