Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Mt Barker, SA for a Site Labourer / Foreman for a Residential Retirement Living project. Reporting to the Construction Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing the signing-in process of trades on-site, maintaining safety protocols, ensuring site cleanliness and organization, and managing construction labour tasks. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in construction labour, have a strong focus on safety, and possess the ability to safely use both power and hand tools.

Key Accountabilities:

Site Supervision and Labour:

  • Supervise and direct construction workers and subcontractors on-site to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Assist with management of materials, subcontractors and/or day labour and coordinate deliveries to site
  • Assist with manual labour tasks as required, including site preparation, material handling and equipment.
  • Ensure that all tradespeople sign in and out at the beginning and end of their shifts and that proper documentation is maintained.

HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality)

  • Quality control of workmanship
  • Manage day-to-day safety on-site alongside inductions/SWMS reviews/toolbox talks/weekly walks/complete daily site diary
  • Risk identification, reporting and mitigation on site

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years local construction experience on residential projects

• Current First Aid / CPR certificate

• Construction Industry White Card

• Valid driver’s licence

• First Aid
