About Us

The Rheumatology & Bone Health Centre is a private specialty clinic providing rheumatology care and DXA bone density scanning. We’re looking for a dependable, organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team on a casual basis and help us give patients a smooth, welcoming experience.

Greet and check in patients, and keep the front desk running efficiently
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to patient questions
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
Take and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, height, and weight
Update patient charts, demographics, and appointment information in Accuro EMR, ensuring data accuracy.
Prepare letters, forms, and correspondence in Microsoft Word
Keep logs, lists, and tracking sheets up to date in Microsoft Excel
Handle referrals, faxes, and incoming results
Maintain patient confidentiality in line with Saskatchewan’s Health Information Protection Act (HIPA) and organizational policies.
Fill out relevant documentation for patient support services
Should be familiar with MSB billing

Required:

Proficiency with Accuro EMR
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience taking and recording patient vitals
Experience scheduling appointments and answering phones in a medical office
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Satisfactory criminal record check upon offer of employment

Preferred:

Medical Office Assistant diploma or certificate, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Current Standard First Aid and CPR
Experience in a medical clinic
