Description

Site-based role, Canada

AMPS Canada is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Open Pit Mining Consultant who wants to live and work in Canada and make a real difference on-site.

This is a hands-on, site-based role, working directly alongside our clients to improve open pit operations. You won’t be sitting on the sidelines or delivering reports from afar. You’ll be embedded with site teams, helping lift planning and scheduling practices, improving day-to-day operational performance, and mentoring technical teams to build long-term capability.

We’re looking for someone with strong open pit experience across planning, scheduling, and operations, who enjoys getting into the detail and rolling their sleeves up. Someone who cares about practical outcomes, not just theory, and wants to leave sites better than they found them.

Just as important as technical ability is how you work with people. At AMPS, we pride ourselves on being easy to work with, trusted by our clients, and genuinely invested in the success of site teams. You’ll need to be comfortable working shoulder to shoulder with engineers, supervisors, and operators, building relationships, earning trust, and helping teams adopt better ways of working.
