Pickleball Sports Coach – Newtown, Geelong – Casual
Are you passionate about pickleball and excited to offer this upcoming sport to local school and communities?
The Y Geelong Sports Coach – Pickleball is responsible for delivering engaging pickleball programs and skill development classes for children and young people aswell as other sporting programs at the Y Geelong Centres. The sports coach – Pickleball encourages participation, following Y Geelong systems and structures, whilst maintaining a high safety standard. Responsibilities also include liaising with parents, schools, completing monitoring checklists, and following health and safety guidelines. The coach is expected to provide positive feedback to participants and prepare structured plans for activities based on the age and number of children.
Availability: Weekdays and weekends are a must.
About the Role
- Deliver pickleball programs & skill development classes for children and schools
- Lead and supervise games and activities
- Provide a fun, safe environment for all patrons whilst at the Centre
- Provide feedback on lesson plans
Applicants will require
- Working with Children Check – Employee (or willing to obtain before commencement)
- First Aid HLTAID012 – current
- CPR – current

The Y Geelong Board and Management are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. All applicants must undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:
- a national criminal history check (processed and paid for by the Y Geelong) an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;

The successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People policies and practices which include; safeguarding children and young people induction, annual SCYP training programs & committing to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout terms of employment.
