Project Streetworks Coordinator: Job Description

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Streetworks Coordinator will be responsible for coordination, administration and monitoring high volume FTTX projects on existing / new network build involving civils, underground fibre (cabling / splicing) and overhead pole works assigned by Tastro Clients.

Duties:

Permit Management:

  • Applying for and managing permits under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).
  • Ensuring that all works are approved and meet compliance standards.

Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Coordinating with contractors, local authorities, and utility companies.
  • Planning works to minimize disruptions to public roadways.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Ensuring work adheres to safety standards and local traffic management plans.
  • Maintaining records of inspections and defect reports.

Progress Reporting:

  • Tracking ongoing works and updating stakeholders.
  • Managing deadlines to ensure timely project delivery.

Dispute Resolution:

  • Addressing and resolving issues related to public complaints, delays, or road closures.

• Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently

• and logically both in writing and verbally.

• Good influencing and persuasion skills with the ability to build successful relationships at all

• levels.

• Good team player, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.

• Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to

• escalate issues.

• Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and a pragmatic

approach.
