About the role and you

We are seeking a General Manager to lead the Perth Lynx, our elite women’s basketball team competing in the WNBL. This is a unique opportunity to drive all aspects of a professional sports team—from high-performance to commercial growth, community engagement, operations, and fan experience.

As General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the strategic and operational success of the club, ensuring alignment with SEN Teams’ values and business objectives. You will be a people-first leader with a strong commercial mindset, passionate about empowering women in sport and growing the reach of basketball in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Perth Lynx across high performance, operations, marketing, partnerships, community, ticketing, and merchandise.
  • Build a strong, high-performing culture with athletes, coaches, and staff.
  • Drive commercial success through partnerships, ticketing, membership, and merchandise revenue growth.
  • Oversee game day operations and deliver exceptional fan experiences.
  • Act as the public-facing leader of the club, building meaningful relationships across media, community, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure strong alignment with SEN Teams’ broader strategy, collaborating with shared services and internal departments.
  • Maintain financial oversight and budget management.
  • Champion the visibility, growth, and impact of women’s basketball in Western Australia.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in sports management, club operations, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in revenue generation (e.g., partnerships, ticketing, merchandise).
  • Experience working in or around elite sport, with an understanding of high-performance environments.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
  • A passion for women’s sport and empowering athletes to thrive on and off the court.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays during game days and events.
