Specialised Breeders Australia (SBA) is a poultry breeding company supplying Day-Old Chicks and Started Pullets to the layer industry. We pride ourselves in the quality of our chickens and our customers expect the best from us.

SBA is looking to fill the position of ‘Flock Services Manager’. This full-time role reports to the Livestock Manager. This role will provide vaccination, clean-out and bird transfer, as well as depopulation services to SBA farms and will manage a small team.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Management experience and skill with integrity and respect at the top of your list. You must be able to demonstrate positive management skills including clear instruction and patience with people.

• Poultry experience. We require someone who has worked at the relevant level in the industry to understand the requirements and nature of the work. (Including, but not limited to, biosecurity, animal welfare, quality, and safety.)

• Organisational and planning capability. You will work in an environment with competing priorities to produce best company outcomes.

• Great communication skills. You will need to communicate with our management team and our team members in a clear and effective way, always showing respect and a can-do attitude.

• Detail and care: Can you demonstrate you have what it takes to ensure our birds are looked after, as well as the people you are responsible for?

• Microsoft / computer literacy. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and at least intermediate computer skills.

• Not keep any birds/pigs at your place of residence or live with anyone who works within these industries.

• Satisfactorily complete a pre-employment medical.

• Hold and keep a current and valid driver’s licence.

• Have an immediate right to work in Australia.
